Sorry loripo I started to reply but the laptop battery took the rest of the day off!
If you read Habitat.com you will see how a good daily news works David Brear has it off pat! I think WAB started a similar news page (top of the page)
The best way with scanners is to post images the last ones I did were of fishing lures,
spinners in fact.
Well, it's hard to be specific, and it's not the ones *in* the rockpools you have to watch out for - more the predators above them who tend to appear at unpredictable times depending on the numbers of visible prey below (though full moons do seem to result in a temporary increase in numbers).
But if you don't mind exposing yourself to a bit of danger in your quest for rare and exotic species, I can give you no better advice than to quote from my favourite role model, Morticia, in 'Addams Family Values':
Debbie Jellinsky: These Addams men, where do you find them?
Morticia: It has to be damp.
I can assure you. It's well worth the search. And don't forget to bring your rubber wellies for a bit of extra protection :)
One of my colleagues asked whether I get paid to look on the internet all day. Don't think he believed me when I told him that it was research. I was looking for that caterpillar at the time, so it wasn't a fib. And besides which, my password is work related............ You should get your students involved.
Lori - I perish the thought! :D Well, you should try looking at one under a microscope, pinning the legs back... and the insect being a mosquito!!! That's something I cringe at, being honest.
Walk like an Egyptian ay? <g> And have you heard 'St Theresa' by Joan Osborne? It sounds like a surreal enough cultural mix :)
Modesty forbids me to describe the additional symptoms currently being added by the antibiotics, and I have another five days to go on them :(
I'm still feeling very poorly. New symptoms arriving, so I've emailed a GP friend for some top up advice (two docs being better than one <g>). But as I just said to Tracey, if you have any cough remedies, do let me know. Lack of sleep is placing me on another planet at the moment :).
Looking forward to coming back so much, but won't do it until I have some art done, as promised :) I *must* show that I can be self-disciplined.......I *must* :)
