Glad that its sorted. - These niggles are always something straightforward in the end, but the programs are so all encompassing these days. - I've been using PSP for years and I'm still finding things hidden away amongst its menus.

oooh that's cracked it thank you so much :)

Ah! - I think I know what the problem will be. If you right click on a blank part of the toolbar area, and then click on Palletes on the drop down menu which appears, you then need to click on the tool options so that it becomes "ticked". Then you should see the missing text edit functions etc.

Hello!
Yes I'd got as far as the text bx coming up but unfortunately no edit text functions are on either the box nor toolbar....
I think I'll have a trawl through the 'help' but let me know if you have any bright ideas.
Thanks again
Gill

Hi Gill, Not exactly sure whether you are trying to create a new "image" as a text box in PSP? but if so, just open a new image, then click on the text tool, then place the cursor somewhere inside the new image that you just created, then left click so that the text tool is activated within the image.
At that stage, the text entry box should appear, along with the text toolbar with all the fonts, font sizes etc. which you are currently missing. NB, this text "toolbar" only appears whilst the text tool is actually active. - Hope I've understood what you mean, and that this explanation works for what you need.
Regards, Mike.

Thank you for your help with paintshop pro before, I was wondering if you might be able to help again!! In creating text in a text box I seem to have lost the toolbar' which allows me to change the font/ size etc and I can't for the life of me find it again - despite looking in toolbars!
Can you help!!
Open office is good but it won't let me save a drawing as a JPEG (as far as I can work out! Which is no use at all...
Kind Regards
Gill
