On the way back from a holiday in Devon we stopped at a service station for our tea and sandwiches. We parked near the edge of the carpark. We threw our crusts to the 2 crows that where loitering about. The sandwiches were not very fresh but we were amazed and facinated as the crows took the crusts and dunked them in a nearby puddle, poked them a bit with their beaks and then ate them bit by bit. I have never witnessed this kind of behaviour before in birds. Is this rare or is it normal for crows?...
