- Guess who's a granny! My daughter gave birth to a beautiful little girl yesterday at 11.58. Katie weighed in at 7lb and 8 and a half ounces. My daughters waters broke just after 4.35 in the morning (Wednesday) and she gave birth over 29 hours later. She was in a huge amount of pain, for so long, which was very distressing, but mum & baby, are both fine. Her partner is over the moon and so proud of both of them and so am I am I:) Oh and Ross might only be ten, but he is the proudest Uncle ever:D:D Tracey xxx
- That's a damn good idea, Elaine! Perhaps I should look into something like that. I do miss having a dog (or two.)
- Well I did wonder, lol!!! Oh yes, all's well with me and mine, thanks Elaine. Keeping hassle to a minimum is the name of the game atm! lol. D. x
- Crowded House! Oh yes, the album Reccurring Dream....mmmmmm!! How's things with you dear lady? D. x
- Thanks for the tips, Elaine .. I can see one or two feeders in neighbours gardens but not sure if they are being topped up, also their are a couple of bags of nuts hanging on a birch in the garden behind me that look as though they have been there for years, so the birds probably not bothering if food isn't fresh. Don't think the previous owner here fed the birds, so you're right, will take a little while for them to twig. They do have a bit of shelter with the birch overhanging, but I think you might be right in that they need some thick or spikey bushes to dive into .. don't have any of those at the moment, so will have to try and squeeze something in! (Only got a tiny garden here!) Saw one bluetit on the feeder briefly this morning, so that's a start, but guess I need to be patient .. cheers, Elaine :)
- Ok. I will try and do some photos and then I can show you what I have done. It might be easier for you to see them and then copy. Hope that helps :)
- Hi Kayleigh,
I think it is too early to prune it yet. Wait for all the leaves to fall. I think between Christmas and February is about right.
You need to have one long central stem and then keep the shoots off of that short when you prune. Just a few buds in length per spur should do the trick, that is what I do anyway and I had loads of fruit this year.
Good luck! Get some photos if you can, I would love to see them.
Susie x - Hi, still full of envy re your break in Spain, it all sounded so lovely. I haven't checked yet to see if you have posted some pics yet.
Aye, not long now until ny daughter's due date. I still think she is going to go into labour early, because she is soooo massive!!! Very excited and nervous at the same time. I'm hoping her partner will manage to get up in time to be there with her, but as he's based nine hours away, it probably is a bit unlikely, although not impossible with a first birth.
Hope all is well.
Tracey:)x - You're welcome, Kayleigh, I thought it was unwarranted. Didn't want to get you into trouble though. xx
