Mine don't sing - it's odd.

Just back from the walk. Every person that caused the damage or hates what we do was there. They all want to see the management plan, asked loads of questions all at once, wonder why they can't cut ivy, want the teenagers to have somewhere to "play" (LOL). But we got to know their names. None of the other volunteers were there and it was one man againt ten, but it went OK. They do a lot of good because they watch out for drug-takers, drug-dealers and weirdos.

We shall see.

My pond is a little murky with no hope of if clearing. All the newts in there I think. Last night went with torch to see quite a lot of frogs. I'm not going down there today - give them a break from my face!
Well I am paranoid. Wish I'd kept the note out of it as it's the same as the one that they have read on the gate almost word for word. Mmmm, will let you know. I'm off now - wish me luck!

Weird - there are now 4 frogs clear as day. At least one female with eggs. Totally confused as the pond is clean and clear. Most of the vegetation died over the winter or was removed by me. I can't understand how I missed them this morning? I do have a little pond. There is something moving in there but not sure if it's a Stickleback or an amphib yet.

Noooo, we won't be going to lunch. No nice pubs near there. Nearest pub is a right dive! LOL Hope you are still getting out for your Sunday lunch.

Darn! No volunteering tomorrow as I have to go on the residents walk. And none the next week as it's his birthday and he is to provide us with maps and we are going on another walk (on and off path). Also, the frogs have deserted the pond in my garden (the newts are still there and since the tadpoles didn't emerge last year I think there is too much competition). So it's a thumbs down on the wildlife front around here! Whatever next, LOL!

How are you? Cold better yet?
