I use my book or UK moths. There was a thread that had a link to quite a good moth ID site but I don't think it was UK moths. It had all the families in a grid of thumbnails.
Nooooooo! I just was given a Dark Arches to look at. That's all. LOL
Some people do have "the gift" though. It's absolutely fantastic. Like if Dan or RoyW turned their obvious talents with things like obscure warblers to insects like moths instead. I wonder if it's related to a photographic memory.
It's absolutely pee-ing it down here. No run today. Suppose it's the same where you are?
It was dead when I chopped it's head off. It was sooo beautiful I thought it such a shame, and knew a wabber would like it for his studies of different skulls, I thought the snake would have been pleased, had it known, that it's part had been of some use after it's untimely death...almost like organ donation....
Yes, there is lots of wildlife here, no slow-worms as I know of though, but as Rob says, if you got grass snakes, you ain't got slow worms....Posie..x
Thanks El. When you get to a certain age ignoring personal anniversaries becomes second nature. More like tombstones than milestones lol.
The sparrow actually shared some of my breakfast al fresco and seemed glad to oblige me by sitting moderately still for a few minutes. Pity they weren't all so cooperative. x
Hey sounds good :-)
Nope we're not going anywhere, I'm off work at the mo for two weeks, just about to start my last week now. I have my 14 yr old daughter with me, so we're just bumming around locally really. My daughter lives with her mum in the midlands so it's down to the coast/beach near enough every day. Late nights and late mornings, totally opposite to what I'm used to when at work, it's the other way round then, early nights, early mornings.
Ha! Now then, I am the butt of several jokes amongst my fellow photography compratriots, you can't see long distance, I just can't see. Oh, OK a bit of an exaggeration but I do qulaify for free eye tests having eyesight over the -10 mark, take me gigs off and I can't see the end of my nose.
You going on holiday anywhere this year?
