A highland WAB meet would be lovely:) Hope you see more Red squirrels. Seamus knows a huge amount re local wildlife in your area. The weather is suppose to be really cold next week, just when it can't get any worse it looks like it's about to!:) I hope you do manage to get a photo of a Red squirrel:)
there is a healthy red squirrel population around that road especially nearer n ballachulish ,but wait till the larch loose most of their needles and we'll arrange a trip to glen righ ,then you will see plenty ,we done a short one day course there and saw several
Hi Andy, good news re Red squirrel, I didn't see any when I was up, but I expect they had lashed themselves to a tree, because of the strong winds:D :D
Such a shame I didn't meet you and Seamus when I was up, what with you in Kinlochleven and Seaumus in Ballachullish we could have had a highland WAB meet, next time!:)
Hi Highlander71, just got back last night from Caolasnacon, stunning area, but diabolical weather unfortunately. Saw four ravens from the caravan I was staying in. There are feral goats in the mountains surrounding Kinlochleven. I read somewhere that there are water voles in some highland areas, but I don't know where about. Seamus might know! Have you recently moved to Kinlochleven? I envy you and Seamus, because the scenery is beyond stunning, it takes my breath away every time I'm up in your neck of the woods. Oh, adders are sometimes seen around Kinlochleven. Hope you are enjoying this site, it's pretty special:)
