- Ah yes thats good thinking, I'll do that. Yeah will be at college from september.
- hmm...just reading the form adn one bit I'm a bit stuck on this the availabilty table, because when it gets up and running later in the year, I don't know what times I would be available yet
- Just sent off the email and got yours thanks hannah.
Ah right that sounds ok you had me worried for a second lol.
lol yeah I thought I was crazy at first and wondered what on earth is that? but soon realised they were bats, none of my family can though and they think I'm making it up lol - Oh dear skills and experience :$....lol, what sort of things would they need to know?. Thanks my email is jamesminchin58@hotmail.com, she attached a pdf file about the events teams, we could swap lol
- Hi Hannah. I got a reply today too, she mentioned to me an events team, but don't know whether I would be up that, public speaking and all lol. Would be good if you could email the form thanks. If you hear anything about the surveys, do you think it could be anything that I could do too? Sorry I'm a bit clueless as to where to begin, never done anything like this you see.
- Hannah, that heron - interesting - there is very often a heron on the dead tree on the far bank of the canal between uppermill and the new kingfisher pub - he just sits on top and isnt disturbed easily at all! Poss same one, got used to people, easy to photo.
You know we have a heronry in Sadd? its in the sewage works at friezland, best watched from the bridleway near the horse arena near manchester road.
its only small, about 3 to 5 nests - They fly (commute!) from there, often over wharmton/grasscroft area towards strinesdale and leesbrook to feed, as far as I can see. Sometimes 4 at once.
cheers
Ken - I've just rechecked the email I got sent and I've only just noticed that Kirsten's email is on there too! lol her's is kirsten.whittaker@rspb.org.uk
- Well I emailed Roy Taylor (he's at roy.taylor@rspb.org.uk) and he said he would pass the email along to their volunteers officer Kirsten Whittaker, haven't heard anything back from anyone yet though. I didn't know there was a delay, don't know why that would be.
- Hi Hannah, i'm fine ta - rspb still going ahead, but some delay i gather, dont know why - it might be as well to ask james if hes had any response from Roy Taylor re volunteering?
For information prior to contacting them yourself, have a chat with James - he may have a contact point for the vollies person there directly rather than via Roy - if not , let me know and i'll send an e-mail address for them...........
Any good spots around here recently?
Cheers
Ken
