Yay, it worked! They certainly do look like M. rosae... the greeney legs, etc. Someone in the forum may confirm as I'm not an expert on these! I just dabble with most families...
Pink aphids you say... sound a bit like Rose Aphid, Macrosiphum rosae? There are several though. Feel free to post an ID request if you see them again...
Hi Jason, I have been looking at your aphid thread and the skin shedding. I can't help or say anything of consequence about what I see, but just thought I'd let you know, I find it really interesting and well done for getting so much detail!
Its good to have something to focus in the boring months! I had some pretty pink aphids(roll eyes!), no idea what they were though, this time last year on the clematis and buddleia but haven't noticed them this.
