Hi Gareth, we are back in Cumbria in a couple of weeks - I hope the weather is better than it is here! Its raining hard and blowing a gale.
Bambi is in Germany at the mo with her mates in the Moezel area, a bit of historical and cultural R+R and walking, a bit of fun after a hard year at Uni.
Looking forward to being back again, rain or no rain!

Ha :D And I know what you mean on the new species. I've a refound enthusiasm for wildlife over the last few years (probably due to taking up photography) and find myself similarly excited if it's something I don't recall seeing before! Won't be long before you're over now then?

Oops - just saw your message, must have posted at pretty much the same time! I'm well thanks. Hope you have more luck with the Golden Eagle than last year- as you say though, going in the right direction will help! I'll be at Leighton Moss over the next few weeks too - our paths may cross again yet:)

Hi Gareth, that was a coincidence - I was just thinking about you yesterday! I was looking at my RSPB badges and was thinking of the Golden Eagle etc!
We are over next month and will have another go at spotting him, at least we won't do the 1 1/2 hour trek first in the wrong direction!
We also have the Ospreys, North + South Walney nature reserves and Leighton Moss on the list of things to do and plenty of walking.
