You frequent the B side of the WA forums as well then. They are usually found in damp poor quality copse and I found a lot in such an area this year but the ones in the photo on the
Gallery were just on a poor piece of grass at the side of our golf club car park. I have seen them there a few times so it was not a one off.These area is not in a copse and not damp. It is called the semifree Morel because they are part of the Morel family and the cap is only attached to the stipe at the top and although they are edible they don't taste wonderful and they are much less robust than the true Morels.
