He's a highly respected photographer, and was working (initially!) with Canon to try and sort the problem out.
As you will see, in his opinion it's still not sorted. He's been very thorough with many example images you can download and inspect yourself.
It mainly effects moving subjects coming towards you, but the earlier models were poor in bright light, and with static subjects.
I'd be very wary of a second hand MkIII.
It's put me off the camera, I was seriously considering getting a MKIII.
Also many professionals have jumped ship and gone over to Nikon, including Andy Rouse.
What annoys me with Andy Rouse is that his initial review of the camera is still up on the Warehouse express web site, even though he personally now will not recommend or use the camera.
Hi Graham, thanks for your thoughts on the 50D thread, i was intrigued by your comment ref the autofocus problems on the 1D MkIII, I have been looking very closely at that model for several weeks now and haven't picked up on anything like that - can you expand on your comments please?
Thankyou for your comment on my back view Red Deer I hesitated about posting it because it is so different to normal shots but I like it alot cos the deer is so symetrical and heading straight into the dark hole in the wood. It also shows the view most people see of deer!!!
A Samsung 22" Model 223BW. The difference from my older 17" TFT is simply amazing. I can see detail in my images I didn't know was there, on the down side, I can now see glaring editing errors I missed!
I got it from Tesco, paid more than I could have got it on line but I wanted the security of knowing that if there was any dead or stuck pixels I could get it changed without any bother. Buying off line they wont take them back unless there's loads of stuck pixels, that would have driven me mad!
I can thoroughly recommend it, although I suppose any of the better named brands would be just as good.
Hi Graham .
I posted a photo yesterday and it was a close up macro of a Six-spot Burnet moth. The size was ok and it sat pending in the moth gallery all day. In the evening it just disappeared. I am wondering why please?
Oh also how com PMs aren't private? I can see the conversation you had with some one else?
