Yes it would be bad if you got arrested doing your job..There is a springer rescue centre on the web if you do search..They are really good sniffer dogs she can smell doggy treats a mile off..
Good luck with finding the right one when you get one..If you want to train it yourself I would go with a puppy as mine is impossible to train myself yet my other dog from a pup was really easy.. Both of them I taught to woof on command that's quite funny..

I had one before Lollie, Sally she she was great she went blind at 4yrs and deaf at 8yrs I still miss her, that's why I got lollie she is a rescue dog they kept her in a cage for all of her puppy life while they went out to work all day.
As a result she cannot be let off the lead as she don't come to call..But apart from that she is a lovely dog. She wants cuddling all the time..
