She loves going shopping! She puts stuff in the basket and I put it back on the shelves! If I have to genuinely shop in a hurry I pick her up afterwards! I'm running the food shopping down now - I put stuff in her fridge when the carers are due for them to feed her with - the rest of the time she eats in the evening with us. I've been looking after her for 9 months now and haven't managed to get her to open the fridge, take food out and feed herself - she just won't do it. We've thrown hundreds of pounds worth of food away when its gone off a week later - so now I've stopped buying it. I suspect she is angling for me to go round there all day every day and make three meals a day - and that isn't going to happen! She gone from 7stone to almost 10 (she's never been that heavy!) and the doc and her brother are pleased with the progress I'm making. One day at a time ....... Thanks for pm - have answered. P xx

I imagine it is a lot like having a child sometimes. It must be very hard to know what to do when she is like that. Does she like going shopping?
Take care and keep smiling... jaki xx

Sounds smashing - we had to repair our caravan site bird table last weekend - it looks as tho someone might have reversed into it in the dark - smashed it up but good: now its back up on a firm new base and filled with food and birds - we also have marsh tits and gt spotteds among others! Thank you - yes I still have the comfort of knowing your phone number is but a dial away! I'm doing ok actually - its a one day at a time thing - mam is different one day from the next - yesterday she was smiley happy and fun to be around - today she played up (and was a nuisance in the supermarket too) so I told her she had better get on board with the help I'm giving her or I would put her in a home and let someone else look after her - and they wouldn't be as nice as me ......... think it worked for a spell!!!

hello there, yup.. all is well with us.. I am home for a couple of days now.. till Friday when I go to the 'hilton' again.. Henry made a wonderful bird feeder and it does a grand job attracting the budgies... yesterday a Marsh Tit visited the nijer about twenty times.. reckon she/he was cacheing ready for the winter.. and this morning... a Great Spotted Woodpecker on the peanuts. Wonderful stuff! Sorry to hear things are up and down for you, as I said before.. if you want to scream, cry or have a giggle... phone us.

No Pauline, no fancy hats required, we are just spending all our time together... except last night when I had to be here. Unfortunately I can not get online there as my ISP doesnt seem to recognise his. No matter. It is wonderful there... I go to sleep to the sound of Rooks chuntering to each other in the night and wake to them flying off for the day... or I am listening to Mr Wren telling his missus he is home.. or the kestral calling... or wonder of wonders a Buzzard circling the woods and flying and calling right above the van! All that and Henry.. what more could a girl ask for :)

Sounds promising - do we need to buy fancy hats by any chance?!!! Bless the pair of you - I can understand how you feel - I love our little van but I don't get to spend much time there - still a night away now and again is much better than nothing!
