I will keep my eye on them and see how they develop over time. Will take a few photos after work while they are still there. Do the gills on the Hypholoma capnoides darken as much as the gills on the H fasciculare?
There's no trace of olivaceous-greenish tinge in the gills of your Sulphur Tuft, which points towards Hypholoma capnoides. Possibly an old buried conifer!
Hi John. Re the fungi in my garden, as far as we are aware, there has never been a conifer tree at the site of the fruiting body. The nearest conifer is 10m away so it may be associated with that. Any more help and advise would be most welcome. Thanks.
