One of my childhood friend's mum came from Gateshead. She always referred to babies as bairns. I always associate that term with the Scots. Lost my email addy???? Well!

Just wondered if you spoke in a Geordie accent, so looked up where Geordies come from. Apparently you term yourselves as "Smoggies"??? But do you still sound like a Geordie? lol! (I come from London, but don't sound like Sharon on Eastenders, so I know it's a generalisation ;))
