Good afternoon!
I saw two Bombus hypnorum foraging on an ornamental rose (single flowered dog-rose type) at grid ref TF05855 02166, Newman Close, Wittering, PE8 6EF on the 3rd of June 2011.

Hello Eucera. I assume this is the correct method for sending private messages.
I am John, and I live in Southampton. I took the picture about three days ago in my garden.
Thank you for identifying the bees. If this is not enough information I am quite prepared to furnish you with anything you may require once I have established that this method of contact is secure if you know what I mean.
Thank You,
John.
Today I have seen a bee which I have been able to identify due to this website (and google). I have seen that you have info for a national bee database?
Sighting Location: Cheltenham, UK
Time: 3:30 ish
Activity: Flying into its 'nest' in a hole in the ground.
Bee: Andrena cineraria
Such a strange looking thing but such a pleasure to see something I have never seen before in my life.
:)
I can take pics of the nest site if you need it. Don't think i will have the patience to get a snap of the bee but could give it a go if needed for the records?
