Hi, I found a nearly dead carpenter bee on my living room floor last night. Not knowing what it was I put a glass over it and watched it for awhile before deciding the kindest thing to do would be to help it die. Probably not the right thing actually but it felt right at the time. Anyway, I saw on a previous post that someone said to tell you because you like to know this things. I live in Kings Langley in Hertfordshire, btw. And I am positive this is what it was. I have just pulled it out of the compost so could take a pic if you want but have to get my oldest to school, etc right now. Anyway, just in case you were interested. Have a nice day.

Hi Stuart, just to let you know there were still a couple of B. terrestris round my Mahonia today (18th)- I sent you details before Xmas- thought you'd like to know they have survived the extreme cold spell we had.
Also saw 2 yesterday in the front garden of a house on Kew Green visiting Clematis cirrhosa flowers.
