Thanks ellen! You wouldn't believe just how dim it was in the hide yesterday! I have to smile at myself cos the times when I was working there and watched folks with sponny new equipment heading determindly for the feeding station used to fill me with almost sarcastic glee I'm ashamed to say - never mind I was the butt of my own jokes yesterday as I trudged round and set up just like a novice - its right ain't it - what goes round returns to haunt you?!!!! We are off to the van in the morning - the bird table needs repairs but I'm hoping to be in Leighton Moss before 11m and that the bittern walks right in front of my waiting lens - now that would be a birthday present and a half!! But if I come back with shots of mallard and coots - ah well those will do!!

Just been looking at the photos of the birds you took with your new camera...really good considering the conditions.It looks like a really nice day here tomorrow with sunshine!!I really hope you have nice weather so you can get some fab shots....will await the results and no doubt be green with envy!

Thaks ellen! I started with flicker but haven't progressed - it takes all my time being on here - I can't do other websites as well. Talking of graphics I bought some new paint brushes and paints in November but they sit un opened on the top of the cupboard here .... I can't seem to find enough time???? Or rather I'm not being disciplined with my time - one half of me thinks I should be pleasing myself more and having less structure but that just leads to lazyness I've found - I've lost the work ethic - although I do get up every morning at 6am still ........ and the other half of my brain is meithering to get on with this and that - and ends up not doing anything much!!

Just had a look at your flckr page and wow-those photos are really works of art!!!!!!Loved them and makes me green with envy!Am thinking of saving for a new camera or prime lens for my oly e520(I can't decide yet,suppose it depends how much I can save)
I got a graphic tablet for xmas and have had fun trying it out-getting quite arty with it:) I also joined skype so that I can video call mum in Oz when she is out there,also chatted with a long lost cousin the other day which was good...its free to join and after downloading you can video call or instant message anyone who you know has skype in the world-and its free!!
Hope you are well and expect to see even greater masterpieces with your new camera

we buzzed off to bed early ... Ian was tired from work and I was as usual fed up with the fuss - I'm such an old grumpy these days!! Sounds like you enjoyed it to the full. Thanks for the good wishes - which I'm returning with interest added! Here's hoping we both have a good new year! xxx

Thanks for the belated birthday greetings....you are forgiven lol!!! Had a good xmas with the family....ate(dont drink)but had a merry ol time playing the usual charades,alter ego and cards etc.Stock take went pretty well too at work,now am having a night in(used to love new years but as I have got older tend to prefer a quieter one!)If I can keep awake I will watch the fireworks in London on the box and no doubt the ones thru the window-tho how anyone can afford them is beyond me!!!I hope you have a Happy New Year Pauline and that 2012 will be a better one than this year(healthwise et al)

Lol,sounds like me at this time of year-its all a big todo over a couple of days...I have been "promoted"to stores supervisor at work and its been really stressful and hectic and to make things worse when I go back to work I have 3 days of stocktaking..deep joy!!! Never mind I will try to unwind a bit tomorrow-at least I dont have top cook-just pig out round my sisters!!
Hope you get to have some time out doing whatever you want to do,take care

I've been half and half on here this past month - half hearted might be a better description - just waiting for all the pandemonium to be over and done - not ready or wanting it this year - so I've been on and 'chatted' sometimes and others can't be bothered - I just want the next three days over with and then I can get on with what I want to do and not have to be dragged in with tradition! I could and would be allowed to begger off to the caravan and remove myself completely - but that annoys me also - and I would feel left out then - yes I know - I'm not making sense - nothing new about that these grumpy old days!!!! But you have a lovely time xxxxxxxx
