- (A message of two halves - as menu said it was too long for one!) I have not had my letter from the gyne yet and have been sent a form from my own doc to have the swab done again - the first one was 'spoiled' (or inconclusive? Or may have contained something nasty and they want to be sure before alerting me or treating me?????) They have no apps free until I'm on hol at month end so its early Aug before I can go - lets hope its not life threatening then???? And if it is I'm seriously thinking about going to the western isles to die - at one time I wanted my ashes scattered there but I think I'd prefer to peg out there than here!!!! Hopefully that time isn't here yet though?
- Back home after another abortive chase around Claife Heights - which my body and legs didn't cope with half as well as last week despite it being cooler - in fact overcast and cool-ish which stopped the dragons and damsels flying. By the time the sun came thro at almost 4.30pm it wasn't strong enough to generate enough heat for winged stuff to fly ........ Its going on the calendar for next year straight after the western isles hols we know we need to climb Claife if we want a chance of seeing white faced darter......... Maybe you will have received news from the vet by today?
- Welcome to the East Anglians group. What a place to live! Are you near some of those wonderful mudflats?
- Got my fingers crossed and as you say - they can get pet results quick - maybe its a question of numbers not as many pets being tested as humans?! Still at home tonight - still not gone off out - weather been vile here today - each time we've thought about packing the car and setting off its bounced down .............. will see what its like in the morning and maybe try again. P xx
- Oh bless ..... once pets start getting on a bit the vets visits really kick in don't they but I'm sure Margaret is right - there is a lot they can do to extend an animals life and in a good way too so that you and Rusty both get some more enjoyment out of each other. It occurs to me now that I don't work we could have a dog, but its a cat I really miss and I doubt I shall ever have another as it wouldn't fit into our lifestyle and I could not keep one on a 'willy-nilly' basis. As for Rusty they will probably change his diet (which he might not appreciate!) and he will soon be full of beans again!
- Make sure some else is holding the camera if you do.
a: to take a pic of you to make you look silly and
b: to to keep the camera dry..:D - They do tend to flutter just out of reach don't they..:D
- Still waiting and time dragging - I don't suppose being Mon there will be anything today..... Spent yesterday in bed reading a novel - course I now wish I had gone out and wandered about - but I went with my gut feelings yesterday and decided felt that a rest and escape into fantasy would be good. This morning I have email and pics from a friend who did go around some of my fave areas with his camera and took some really got shots - now I wish I had gone too - ain't that human?!!!! And today I'm waiting for the chappie to come and assess the bedroom roof leak ......... and shopping for mam's fridge ........ and hopefully getting ready for a couple of days escape to the caravan on Ians days off - tho he doesn't sound keen to go now the weather is not as good for dragonflies!!
- ooh I'm jealous! There are such a lot of species that are only in the southern half of the country - tho with this weather they are prob on their way up the M1/M5 as I write! See above for potted version of yesterdays antics - the doc said if I bleed again I've to ring her sec and they will take me straight in and examine me to see where its coming from - and this time under anaesthetic - I was embarrassed at making such a fuss but I couldnt hold it in it was just so painful - I went from amiable smiling to crying moaning in 0.00001 of sec!!!!
