They are something spectacular prob cos they don't often give a good view! The last one we saw must be years ago - before we went digital I think - and that was a big fledgling - not quite as grown up as yours - in the trees at Langass on North Uist being fed by meadow pipits - the noise the young cuckoo made was constant: feed me feed me feed me feed me - it never shut up - perhaps its was never really full enough to calm down and go quiet!!!

Hi Ellen, Great to hear you're still enjoying it.
As I mentioned previously, Anita, my wife, uses an E520 and 70-300mm lens, it's her standard setup, she produces some great images with it.
Here's a link to one of the pics I took a couple of weeks agon on the Farne Islands, there are a few new images there, all with the E510 and either the ZD 50-200 or the Bigma.

You'll love the Sigma macro lenses, we have both the 105mm and the 150mm, I'd recommend the 150mm, it's capable of producing stunning results. I'll look forward to seeing your pics when you get one.

Yes its a false economy sometimes hanging on to an older car-know all about that!!

... thats what I'd been telling myself - anaything nasty and I would have been called in by phone - but its still nice to see it in black and white! Yes I wish you were closer too ellen - the three of us would be a force to be reckoned with!! Unfortunately the car gave us worries and put a damper on - what I now know is the 'engine icon' lit on the dash display and caused me an expensive mobile phone call to my mechanic pal who said if the car wasn't running rough (or running at all!) then there was little to worry about - it was prob a sensor or a bit of muck - keep an eye on it but drive as normal. A little later it went out by itself and hasn't reappeared? These little episodes are all leading me towards considering a newer car - I tend to hang onto vehicles until they are costing me a fortune ........

Welll basically its good news - Rusty is getting older and having probs just like the rest of us - but care and attention and medication can go a long way to extending a happy life. The results you have got back only indicate a dog getting into old age - he will prob creak on for a few more years yet!!! Good boy!

Got my fingers crossed for Rusty: don't see any reason to not take him out - he will let you know by turning round and going back if he finds he can't manage it! Dogs are usually very aware of what they can manage - and sometimes I suspect they do it despite how they feel cos it is their will to be outside - its what they live for - and I';m with them in that wish - cos its mine too!!!!!
