Congratulations, I hope you have a great day and that the weather is kind. We'll be travelling back from Tiree that day, but we'll raise a glass when we get home.
Bob and I saw some Four-Spots on the wing on Sunday at Uath Lochans, it was a really good day weatherwise, we also saw some Large Reds and a Common Blue. Stephen Corcoran, the Park bio-diversity officer, is organising some Dragonfly events over here and the Braemar side. I can send you a list if you'd be interested. Audrey.

Yes, on mid summers eve it only took seven years to get around to it.
I have the list from Pat and have in the last couple of days been annotating it with named locations and looking at the squares with few or no records. I did do a bit of guddling today in one of them but tis a bit early i fear only got a very small four spot. Saw fifty or more large reds yesterday and James has said there has been lots of them at his work (he got my first record of the year before the rains - if that makes any sense). I will look at my diary and get in touch with Peter and see what we can arrange. B.

Are you getting married????
Any weekend in July, or August would suit me, apart from the weekend of Saturday 1st of August, our son is 21 on the 29th July, so we'll be having some kind of celebration that weekend. I'm pretty sure Bob has a couple of weeks off in August, but can't remember which ones. His work have recently changed shift patterns, instead of having 4 shifts on a Saturday, they now have 7, so he'll be working more weekends, but he should be able to arrange a shift swap with enough notice.
I don't have any preference for sites, I don't know what areas need looking at. It would be nice though to record somewhere with little or no records. I've a list somewhere of local squares with no records, I got it from Pat Batty, she might ba able to send you something similar.

Yeah i can't manage June either on account of a hen night a honeymoon and a wedding! (not neccesarilly in that order) so was thinking July - and it would be a weekend, can avertise it on the BD website. Will look at my diary and suggest dates, any sites you would like to visit in new squares?
-
It would depend on when and where exactly, but we'd certainly be interested. We're going to Tiree for a week in June, which is probably the only time we definitely couldn't manage. Apart from that it's dependant on work and getting time off, although most weekends should be ok.
I don't know Peter Elford, so don't have his contact details, sorry.

Thinking if getting a meet set up for the summer over here, record a new square for the atlas, would you guys be up for it? I would be doing it as Jonathan has his hands pretty full this summer. Do you have Peter Elfords contact details by any chance
