Would I be held in high esteem if I said I had seen Frank Zappa in concert in Birmingham (late 80s I think?).

Jesus Christ Chris, it doesnt bear thinking about if you'd got stuck proper. Great escape, good title for a film dont you think?
I suspect a few years ago I'd have just gone for it too, slightly mellower these days.
Went over to penistone for a new years eve party about 25 yrs ago, couldnt get over Islay (isle of skye) so went via marsden main roads, even stopped to ask the feds if the roads were blocked (deep snow and blizzards) and they said no chance, so we went anyway.............................we were the only people at the party, even though we were furthest away. Nutters from Lancashire unite!
Oh, forgot, I did have a 997 cooper and it was a fab machine in all conditions, I also remember going over the Snake in it when the police had blocked it off, I just carried on, got to Sheffield via a lot of four wheeel drifts through high snow. Fun.

How do Ken. I have to tell you about my nightmare on Saddleworth Moor today! We had been to a christening in Uppermill and I suggested to the missus a scenic return home over the Isle o' Skye Road, coming back via Meltham and Marsden. Driving above Greenfield I stupidly ignored the 'road closed' signs and carried on. It was a bit dicey, but I managed to get over the highest point. The problems arose when I turned off towards Meltham, going past Wessenden Head. The road was a nightmare and I got the car stuck! In the car I had my two year old daughter and of course the wife who is eight months pregnant. I thought she was going to punch me! Anyway, after much pushing and wheel spins we got it out and reversed back to Isle o' Skye. From here we headed down towards Holmfirth and managed to get to Meltham from here.
Oh aye, I saw some waxwings near Junction today as well.

Nice one Ken. I thought it might be the red-tailed. It is very buzzard-like though. I first saw it in 2002, so it's been there a few years. Are you off to 'the lake' to get the pied-billed grebe? I couldn't get away today but shall be there before work in the morn'. Wish me luck! Chris
