Yes I do tend to move the lens just as I am about to press the shutter annoying habit I will try to get out of and do what you said..

Blurred photos that's not what i'm seeing on your site as i said they are really good, i don't understand why you cant accept that they are. Anyway always remember to keep the camera pressed up tight to your face till after the click, seems silly to say that but i've done it a lot in the past with out realising it.

Thank you Davey,
My problem is I look at others shots and want mine to look like those.
I get disappointed as I see the shot trough the viewfinder press the shutter and the shot is mediocre or blurred and it looked fine when I pressed the shutter but this will come with time I hope.

Just had another look at your photos on your ephotozine site, my conclusion is that you underestimate your own ability as a photographer, many of them are super photos and taken with thought on an alternative angle or pose. Best wish DC

I find if I play about it works better than if I set the camera up to specific settings.
I had to make adjustments as the moon comes out white and sometimes the damn thing just don't focus so take a few go inside have a look at them then take some more I think it was fluke more than anything..

Hi DC, Thank you for the comments on my moon I took a few shots then checked the shot then altered the settings so these are the exif settings used..
Canon 500D,
Aperture f/4.0 (but f11 was advised but wouldn't focus)
Focal Length 200 mm
Lens used, Canon EF 70-200mm F/4.0 L IS USM Lens on tripod.
ISO Speed 100,
White Balance Manual
Shutter speed priority..
I think if your right click an image and "save as" you can get the data this way.

Yes I will do, we got so engrossed in the fungi I forgot to have a look at the her ring flash and ask questions.
