A couple of days ago an otter (don't think it could have been anything else)walked through our garden.
We are 300yards from a decent sized stream in which there might be some tiny fish. We are 2000 yards from the sea and it is not a quiet area -we have lots of walkers with dogs around + general traffic. We are 2500 yards from fresh water reservoirs on a hill behind us.
We are delighted to se the animal but wonder if this is 'normal' behaviour? Do they stray far from water?
