We are staying in Filey, it's actually at a haven holiday park through a cheap Sun newspaper holiday offer but will be alright as we will be out and about for most of the time.
What we'd be after is just good honest pub grub be it a simple cheese sarnie/scampi and chips or a nice well cooked steak with homemade chips, somewhere on the moors would be nice but whilst we are up there I'm sure we will do a fair amount of exploring, the train journey across the moors looks lovely so that is on the cards.
What about chippys, we will be going to Whitby for a day out and thought that a trip to the Magpie might be a goer but I've heard it can be a nightmare to get a table so is best book, is that right? If you know of any other nice ones in the are then feel free to spill the beans!!!
Just noticed your location Coasty, the OH and I are having a wee break at the end of March in North Yorks (Filey to be exact) so any good pub suggestions? in or around the moors would be good but any local info always greatly recieved.
