I've only just joined up and found the site whilst searching for discussions on bird ringing. It was such a relief to find someone else with the same views as myself. I seem to have made myself pretty unpopular in a number of places by expressing my objections to bird ringing so I could certainly use an ally at the moment!

I have been intending to write to Natural England and the RSPB for some time now but can't help feeling my objections, however well worded, would carry little weight against the might of the BTO and the numerous ringing groups. So I guess I was looking for kindred spirits who might have already joined up with each other or might wish to do so.
