I hadn't seen the measure. A different stage maybe? Or not the exact same aphid. Perhaps we grow bigger ones in Stoney Stratford!

Hi Bruce, I don't know if you read the reply in the "alternative light source" thread where you asked me where the "LCD light ring" was sold. It is an American company on ebay who seem to have a good reputation.

Hi Bruce,
Ohhhh.. What a beautiful breed :0). I feel a bit lost without a dog in my life at the moment.
Don't worry about the tardiness ;0)
Having intermittent computer issues at home (on work PC at mo) so it’s a bit hit and miss when I can post/message. Not looking forward to a weekend without internet access :0( hope to get it fixed soon.

Yes the heathers were just starting to show another week or so would have been spectacular....
What a gorgeous place that was I want to return there one day.
Yep every chance I get I try to get a good macro its a bit limiting though as they still come out blurred if you get too close.

Unfortunately max passed away about a year ago. Like to keep his picture on, he looks so please with his big log :0) Makes me smile every time I see it.

Still have a 20yr old cat, absolute softy and he thinks he's a dog! Plays catch, fetch, the lot. Him and Max were best buds. Together all the time.

HI Bruce, Don't know about Northants but there is at Wobern MK.
There is a deer fence all the way round the woods at Whittleburry fencing off an estate so there is lots of activity there. But Wobern you can get close I fancy a trip to MK in Autumn to see the rut.

Thanks Bruce for the comment on my spiderlings I have just ordered a new lens to fit my fuji the same as Jason Greens so hope to get some better close up shots.
