I shall do my damdest to meet up with you this year Bill .... last year we didn't leave the 'gorms' cos of the weather .... the year before we set off for Nairn and then I got ill that day and ended up round Dulcie Bridge and the Findhorn having a kip on back seat and feeling rough - this time despite the snow - my health, Sheilas health - whatever - I'm determined to make it and see you so expect a phonecall!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about Ians mum ,the break should be nice for her especially if the weather improves a bit .
Anyway have a nice holiday when you do start and if we dont meet enjoy and will read about it on the site and see the pics there enjoy yourselves

Eh Bill I feel for you - when I had my overactive thyroid the visits before the op then the 7 weeks in hospital before being kicked out to wait a bit longer for the op cos it wasn't safe to operate on me at that time - they had to get it under control - then 3 weeks in for the op then frequent return visits - all at Liverpool 30+ miles away ...... it nearly drove me daft and took up a huge part of my life for a couple of years - so I sympathise. We are bringing Ian's mum with us and she has been rushed into Wigan hospital twice since xmas with heart trouble out of control - fingers crossed she willl be well enough and that we do not need to take her to Inverness hospital while we are on holiday!!! So yes we may meet you at the hospital yet - but I hope not!!!!!
-
Hello Pauline yes we have some snow again but its disappearing up here again but not so down in Audrey`s area at Aviemore still laying quite thick having to use ploughs to keep the roads open upto the ski centres, hope the camper passed its MOT ok .
Under going more test for nerve damage done during op as have no feeling in feet and half way up lower legs and are continually frozen so its back and forward to specialists again I thinkl the only specialist I have not seen in Raigmore Hospital is Maternity & Gynecoligy and Peadiatrics .anyway best of luck with camper may get the chancxe to meet when your up this end on holiday if not at hospital.

I've just spotted you have the same birthday as my mam!
-
I couldn't remember whether I had contacted you so came for a look and yes I had (and I complain about my mothers memory??!) A week on Sat we will be arriving in Nethy Bridge all being well ......... I haven't done a thing yet too get ready but my mechanic chappie is due this morn at 10am to service and MOT the old camper so fingers crossed. You prob have snow again I'm guessing from the forecasts but we have a severe frost and I will have to desfrost the car to move it so I can carefully get the camper in the middle of the drive ...... better get cracking - see you soon!!

I keep watching the forecast and evey time they show that north eastern coast around Nairn getting dumped on with snow I'm heard to say 'Big Bill is in for it again'! Did I say that we are headed your direction (Well Cairngorms) at the end of Feb beg of March - everything is booked but whether Ian's mum will be well enough is another matter ..... I still have your phone number in my mobile so will be in touch if we make it - with two weeks this time we should reach your area - I've been hearing a lot about Glen Strathfarrar and Spey Bay and think I've been missing something not visiting these?
-
That fabulous pic (can't pronounce it!) but it brought tears welling up for the glory of it has reminded me to tell you that we are booked for the Cairngorms yet again next spring! Last two weeks in March and first few of April. We are in a lodge this time cos we're bringing Ians mum and staying for a bit longer than normal - so hopefully we willl get to meet you this next year!
