Got up to a reasonable cover of snow this morning - but I didn't have to go anywhere till 1.30pm so just let it all melt off! Ian had to sweep it off the works van but it had gone off my car by the time I needed it. Spent the afternoon in the hospital with mam - a 2.30pm app which I turned up early for by half an hour and still we were last in (how does that work?!) and didn't get out till half four after her having a trip to the ECG machine and bck to the clinic then another trip (walking shoes req its that far across the hospital!) to have her bloods done. They are going to send her for a CT scan in the next few weeks which I suppose will prove whether its senile dementia or a tumour or some other reason for this loss of memory. I'm pretty sure its dementia - she's quite typical with the short term memory loss. Bless her I phoned early this morning and asked her to have a bath and wash her hair and she had - also had found some decent looking shoes, clean pants, clean undies, and a very clean jumper with not a trace of food on the front - then she topped it off with a decent cap - not her tea cosy 'benny' hat! She actually looked fine and like the mum I remember! So things looking good here at the min!

Im sitting here with heating nearly on full in a fleece and sweatshirt watching the snow thats been falling all day..
The Dr signed me off sick for another week and may have to back to see him next week as I have this pain in my chest I cant work with it..Hopefully it will be gone next week..

How are the grandchildren liking the snow?

Pauline they dont make them like My Gran anymore do they.
Managed to get out today went to JCB Factory were there are lakes all around the factory with lots of Ducks on.Took My Grandson who is 9 months old he was ok until 3 ducks came close quaking he started to cry first time he has seen a duck. Went to the bigger lake and a bloke fishing said the kingfisher feeds here sure enough he landed on the branch hanging over the water. light was really bad and he was to quick. great day out. Janet

Oh Janet I've laughed and laughed - cos it conjuoured up an image in my mind of an old girl on her hands and knees in her nightie getting under the neighbours windows - god bless her! I think that blow up in my last post has got it off my chest and into perspective. I'm not going to be mad with her anymore - I should be glad that shes still got the wit to be crafty and laugh at her tricks, so hopefully I've come to terms with this situation at last and can live with it as it is and not try and change it or her into something that is no longer poss. A bit like that well known saying - god grant me the whatever and to know the difference - or however it goes - but I've got the sentiment of it if not the actual saying!!
