Sorry, No....not a bee keeper. Unless you count the solitary bee who nested in my back door lock. Was facinated to watch it come and go, building chambers, filling them with pollen, laying and egg and sealing up that chamber before starting the next.
Hello Peter , where on the island do you live? as a child I lived with family in Wroxalland used to spend all school hols theredon't go there often, but when I do I feel instantly at home, I guess it is a great inrush of old memories cutting in. We have had a house in Northern France since 04, and go there as much as poss. having said that, rural France in the winter is not wonderful. I love it there but wife not so much, in the summer i can sit quite happily in my fair sized garden for hours (weather permitting) and just 'think', usually with a glass by my side...it is a beautiful country, and we have the overiding chacteristic of the French is curiosityCos we live in Northern France we don't get fab weather, but we can get to our house in about four hours door to door...We will be pleased to answer any questions on life over there ...or would be happy to just yarnabout it all Cheers....Steve
