Good to hear from you Alison, I was getting a bit worried about you. The robin box and plaque sound absolutely perfect. A very fitting tribute indeed. It's understandable that you'll have sad days, but over time they'll become less and less and you'll start to remember more of the happy times. Hang in there xxxx
Love the sound of your hog motel, that made me laugh as I know exactly the feeling! Think I'll start charging for board and lodgings too!! I've not seen any babes yet either, but I take that to be a good sign that they're all still snuggled up safely with mum somewhere, unlike in the Autumn when our probs begin........ sigh.
Alison, just read your earlier post tonight. I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about your mum. I think it's a beautiful idea to erect a bird box in her memory and I hope you find the perfect one. Sending you (((BIG HUGS))) xx
Just seen your fox in the Gallery absolutely stunning...I have been away for a while..hee hee....but I'm back now....
I think I will move to Oundle lol....you seem to get more wildlife there.
Well, that didn't take long for Ben to remember which side his bread is buttered on! : ) He'll probably be off again anytime soon in search of girlies after he's had a good feed and a rest!!
Hi Alison, I haven't seen any hogs in my garden for two nights now, not even my boy and his girlfriend whom I saw together on four consecutive nights : ) so I guess they're just off doing hedgehog things at this time of year and enjoying foraging for natural food. Or, they could just be visiting during the early hours when we're sound asleep! Don't worry, they'll remember where to come for free board and lodgings when required!
