S'ok glad to hear that you're alright - I remember you live up an incline but began to worry when the village got mentioned. Also heard about the missing police officer - that's heartbreaking if he/she has lost their life whilst doing their job trying to save other folk - its sounding very grave even allowing for the usual news hype. Take care.
I too have been listening and watching the weather warnings and today the A590 at Lindale is mentioned as is the A6 at Levens: Keep safe John - take care if you're driving esp in the dark ........ wonder if our caravan has floated off?? Pauline
Hi John, I have just seen the terrible floods in Cumbria, it's just awful - I hope you and the village are safe.
Take care and don't go out unless you have to,
Shirley
Hey! I only recently noticed your reply to my question about your lovely dog! That's because you posted it on your own profile instead of mine, lol! Yes she is very dark for a yellow Lab. A friend of mine had a rather nice looking mongrel and people used to ask him what breed it was. " Dutch Mountain Dog", was the standard reply ;)
Thanks Dutchess. She's a pedigree Lab with a wavy coat along the back and an unusual dark yellow colour although I've seen few about recently. It's the same as when you get a new car, you're always looking out for the same model or make.
I've done a bit of homework on Chezzies and would like one as a successor to Tizzy but I have to convince someone else! You're not the first to ask if she's a Chezzie and I've pulled a few legs by saying she's a very rare St John's Water Dog.
We have breeder near us who produces litters once in a blue moon but are good working dogs. I have a slight hesitancy though and would like to see more of the breed working before taking the plunge.
