| | | Re: Another one signed up on Zenfolio Very good site, Rob.
Some excellent photos. Loved the Scottish Isles landscapes.
I'll definitely keep an eye on your site for updates.
Very impressed to read you started with a Zenith E!
I only had the Zenith B until a Nikon FM came along in '78 and I've stuck with Nikon ever since.
I remember using Kodachrome II (later renamed Kodachrome 25) and occasionally went to the dizzy heights of the superfast Kodachrome X (later Kodachrome 64). Amazing to think we all moan now if we can't use 800 iso without noise!
Cheers,

| | | Re: Another one signed up on Zenfolio Glad to see you have joined 'us'!!! I love the opening slide show - I recognised so many of the places! But I have to be honest - forgive me - its only my opinion and I could be really wrong but I don't like the yellow and purple layouts. I can see it compliments the machair section but even there I find it distracting and my eye is jumping up and down to it I think the rough rule of thumb is if your website is selling 'objects' and the more boring the objects - like drainpiping lets say - you can have a colourful layout. But if its photographs they need to 'sell themselves' to stand 'alone' as the most eyecatching thing on the page and the page needs to be dumbed down to the status of a backdrop... and your photos are so stunning they should be allowed to sit on a non-descript backdrop and 'gobsmack' us all ....

| | | Re: Another one signed up on Zenfolio Thanks for the hints Pauline - sorry about not replying sooner but I've been away for the last twelve days, not Scotland this time but a work trip to Baku in Azerbaijan! I'll get a chance to have another look at my "themes" next weekend I hope.

I don't know if the following link will come live once I've posted but it shows a coloured background that altho coloured is non-intrusive if you're not a fan of dark grey or black backgrounds - the link does work but I think I might be breaking the rules by putting it here - so instead jump onto my front page and take the third website link to dc.images to see the coloured background

Sadly didn't get to see much of the countryside apart from the area around the capital - Baku, but did see White-headed Duck, Pygmy Cormorant, Dalmatian Pelican and a few other things I've never seen before. Pauline | Thanks again - I'll have a look at that later.

Did you play the slideshow in the Machair Gallery and hear the corncrake?
PS don't click the blue Gallery link in the message above that's just one of those automatic WAB links that appear when certain words get typed in.

It sounds wonderful and lifts the viewing experience to another level - well done it is awesome!
