LENS Natural History Society

Long Eaton Natural History Society (LENS) was founded in 1977. We speak for and act on behalf of wildlife to promote conservation and biodiversity and prevent detrimental development. Our group also maintain records of local flora and fauna and promote knowledge of natural history.

The website has a blog section, along with a local weather page. Our members are also involved in conservation work at Forbes Hole nature reserve in Long Eaton.

Although we are based in Derbyshire, due to our location, we are also consider the wildlife of Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire as being local to our interests.
