I got back from a week in Spain last Saturday night. I went into the Cataluyna area and visited a couple of sites in the Pyrennes, also visited the Leida Steppes after Dupont's Lark and finished of at the Lobregat Delta (the side of Barcelona Airport) and the Ebro Delta.
Along the way I had some atrocious weather, heavy snow, Thunder, lightning and monsoon conditions, black ice, winds so fierce and cold you wouldn't stand out in the open for more than 10 minutes.
Still I managed one lifer in Dupont's Lark but missed out on Citril Finch (due realistically to the weather conditions).
I managed some fairly good photos, especially Alpine Accentor so I did come away with something from the trip.
If you want to take a look here is the link to my trip report.
Spain 2011
That link takes you to a summarised Trip Report and at the top of that page is further links to two pages of photos, Birds and then Landscapes.
In landscapes you will see some clear conditions both at the Leida Steppes and the Pyrennes. Don't be fooled, it was so windy and cold you just didn't really want to be outside of the car.
