Hi to everybody on the Wild about Britain forums!
We've recently created a new website based around wildlife spotting, and are looking for people to use it and give us feedback, e.g. bug reports, suggestions etc.. itsafinch
The website was not created as a profit making excercise, and as such is free to register on and to use. Any money made from advertising simply goes towards hosting the site.
The idea was initially to provide a simple way to register animal/bird sightings that would be easy to use for children and the 'casual' spotter or those with a general interest in wildlife - people just like us!
Once again - any feedback is more than welcome!

Hi, just joined and tried to add Dipper and Kingfisher, which I see every day as I live next to a river - the site does not seem to recognise these birds. I also tried Sparrow - no joy.

ron1863 - I'm pretty sure we do have those birds - some of them were missing images, which I have just added. Simply starting to type the name of the animal should give you a list of options from which to select : for example, typing 'spar' gives you House Sparrow, Sparrowhawk and Tree Sparrow. Out of interest, which web browser are you using?
