My new site

Hi all.
Just to inform you that I have a new site at Zenfolio | Wildlife photography by Lincsbirder

The site is very much in it's infancy and I have loads of photos to upload going back to 2006 but I will get there eventually.

The old site at Welcome to Lincsbirder.co.uk will remain as it is for the foreseeable future but I won't be updating it any more. It was getting a chore to keep it updated and was taking up far too much of my time.

Many thanks to all of you who have visited the old site and please take a look at the new site bearing in mind that the best photos are yet to be uploaded.

All of you who had links on my old site I will eventually get them put on the new site and would appreciate it if you could all update your links to me accordingly.

Very easy to navigate and looks good too. I love the photo of the Brimstone - a butterfly I repeatedly fail to photograph!

Hi Oliie

I checked out your site and you have some very good photographs. A couple of questions I tested the "adding to shopping cart" I notice that it says prints are only available in the US and Canada have you taken the Pro version to sell your prints. Did you find Zenofolio easier to set up or maintain than your original site, why did you change?

Roy, in response to your question about the shopping cart. I will be removing this at some point as I have no interest in selling my photos. No I haven't taken the pro version it's the one above basic version that Zenfolio do.

Reasons I changed were because I was impressed with other Zenfolio sites I have seen. Easy to set up no html code to have to play with.

With my old site I had to create the main photograph and a thumbnail, then create an html page for the main photograph etc. It would take at least an hour to add about half a dozen photos to the old site and publish them. With Zenfolio you can add half a dozen in around five minutes. No thumbnails to create it's all done for you and it's so easy.

Zenfolio is also so easy to change! I've already tried three different styles, just to go with my changing mood.

For ease of use it's hard to beat.

Haven't been on WAB much this past week or so as I've been busy editing and loading photos to the new site. There are now 500 photos on the site and I've another couple of hundred or so to add. It's all time consuming but saying that putting 500 photos on my old site would have taken weeks rather than days.
