just to letting know anyone who's intersted how easy it is to buy your own domain name.
ive just bought keithtalbot.co.uk for just under £7 for 2 years! a bargain i thought.
just google domain name.
makes your website sound a bit more professional  |

Lots of domain name companies sell them for a few quid, but you need to check the small print to see how much it would be to transfer the domain to another supplier, remove supplier advertising, or renew the contract at the end of two years. It can vary quite a lot and often cost considerably more than the original purchase price.
Once you've got the domain name you just forward it to your flickr, zenfolio, WAB profile page etc...so when someone puts in www.yourname.com they end up on your Gallery page

I think mine was quite alot more, but the people I registered it with were there to provide me with webspace for it when I needed it. Assigning a domain to webspace is no easy task if you're doing it without a program to assist. I found that out last year  |

We both have ********.org.uk domain names for a few quid for a few years.....very reasonable from 123 Reg. |

The cost depends on the extension you require. Anything .com is more expensive than say .co.uk or .org.uk. Some of the new ones, like .gb.com, .gb.net and .uk.com and .uk.net are ridiculously expensive! |
