| | | Decay, rot and putrescence: fungi guide Here's a fungus guide: The Fungi of Southern England
And some photos too.
Incidentally, if anyone has any good source for natural history books not already listed on my site, please let me know, and I'll add them. Similarly for sources of microscopy supplies. |

| | | Re: Decay, rot and putrescence: fungi guide Hi Leif - beautiful photographs!
The website is a really useful resource with the species info included as well. Its bookmarked for when I run out of flowers and lichen to peer at, and your 'Equipment and Technique For Macrophotography' section has given me some helpful advice, hopefully I might finally learn how to use a camera better!
Summerfield Books is a good book source, botany, fungi, lichen etc

| | | Re: Decay, rot and putrescence: fungi guide Very nice site Leif. Some great photo's and a very interesting mix of information. As fungi (and wild flowers) are my main interests this is just my cup of tea.
(Just added it to my Favourites).
Regards
Mike. |

| | | Re: Decay, rot and putrescence: fungi guide Amazingly crisp and informative website and the photography is brilliant: Sharp detail and the colour tones so mutedly natural - an example to be followed.
As a member from the start of the millenium it's time you caught up with us at f-s-h-b again fungi-of-hants-surrey-borders : Encouraging the recording of Fungi
and joined us on some of this years outings. We would appreciate your imparting some of that expertise, experience and knowledge.
JP and I will be heading for Bowdown Wood and Pamber Forest for the Scarlet Elfcups soon, and I wait patiently for the A. cholorocyanea to re-appear at Minley
best regards
David

| | | Re: Decay, rot and putrescence: fungi guide Hello David. Thankyou for the kind words. Let me know when the next foray is, and I'll see if I can make it. I was not aware of the forum, or maybe with age my memory is going. Probably the latter.
BTW You might want to look out for Heteromycophga glandulosae, which occurs on Exidia glandulosa. It is supposedly very rare, but I suspect it is underreported and much more common. |

Never mind I will keep you posted about our forays or you could keep tabs on the f-s-h-b group site: Better still join the group at Yahoo and give us the benefit of your participation
