| | | re: Wildlife Ocean Photography thanks
I've been to St Abbs, but only as a diver. The underwater scenery down there is amazing, and would be worth a guide in itself I think. I don't know much about the topside wildlife though - are there walks etc you can recommend or particular species to watch out for?

| | | re: Wildlife Ocean Photography I never have enough time to spend there, but out towards the lighthouse (walking or by car) is pettico wick. I think it is a magical place. Here is a photo I had in the Gallery.
I just go to take in the scenery and the sea birds - Guillemots, Razorbills and Kittiwakes and probably a lot more (I am not an expert). There are always lions mane jellyfish (and others) off the jetty.

| | | re: Wildlife Ocean Photography how nice!
thanks for the info, I'll definately check it out sometime
I'm now in the process of writing up some of these guides for the site, so I'll keep you all posted as to how it's going, and when I start getting them uploaded. I'll wait till I've got a couple ready so the section doesn't look too empty

| | | Wildlife Guides - Updates Right,
I've had a go at my website again, and added a new section called 'guides' to replace the old 'news' section. I'm planning on adding to it as and when I get time, but if anyone has any more suggestions of things to go in, or has any comments on the guides I've already written, I'd love to hear them.
Cheers folks

| | | Re: Wildlife Guides - Updates I just had a look at your website, and I love your photos of Gannets!
I read the "Taking Photographs at Sea" guide; it's really useful. I wish I'd read it before going out to sea with my camera! I remember almost falling overboard whilst trying to take a photo, lol. I found "2. Set your camera for action" the most useful section.
Good work! |

| | | Re: Wildlife Guides - Updates Great stuff, Zan. Not just useful information but should help with the search engines as well.
I also found the Taking photos at Sea guide useful because in a couple of months I will be taking some boat trips on holiday and hopefully getting some decent photos.
