| | | Brilliant Day Out With The Lads Myself, Boddie (andrew), Fourwings (steve), Oscar2006 (oscar), Mark (MTR) and glsammy (Graham) had a brilliant day Which started out at Attenborrough Nature reserve Which wasn't as good this time of year but then we went on to a country park kind of thing which was much better. We got some awsome close up photos of Bull Finches and Rats . Yes we spent about 15-20 Minutes photographing rats . We then decided to go to another reserve and a heron site which was absolutly brilliant everyone got some brilliant shots except Myself and my old man because we've got too smaller lenses . But it was a great day and ended with a great group shot But i'm not sure how to add it to a Thread so i'll get my old man to put it on later . But it was an all in all fantaastic day. Thanks Chaps!!! |

| | | Re: Brilliant Day Out With The Lads Wonderful photos Graham especially your bullfinch and herons. Can never get even remotely near to the bullfinches in this area despite the fact that I see them flitting from branch to branch quite often. |

the group photo is interesting... nice to see you all happy. For someone apparantly armless boddie you certainly let it all hang out.

Kerry | I have to hold my hands up and say that being from an agricultural background I am not the biggest fan of Rats, however the antics of these yesterday was highly entertaining.
The were at least 6 of them in this small area constantly climbing upto the bird feeders to steal seed, they were incredibly wary and ran for cover at the slightest noise from the cameras making them quite a photographic challenge. |

The rats have never caused me any problems during the past 11 years at this place and the wild Polecats are a pleasure to see. As with the rats you saw, mine are very wary and only fleeting glances are seen, the wild Polecats are actually less wary than the rats. I try to leave nature to get on with it, so I leave well alone and just enjoy their presence.

This is not one of my better shots, soft focus, poor exposure, but there's something about it that I like:
Yet more Herons Im afraid!
