Thanks guys. The list is from across the three days I was there and included species seen on the way up and down. Tried for the Golden Pheasants at Wolferton but missed out and felt too rough on the last day to come back via Buckenham where I would have got two more for the year, Lesser White-fronted Goose and Bean Goose. Have to say that despite the near 100 species seen, it was very quiet birdwise for Norfolk with an hardly any divers, sea ducks, grebes and no Twite and very few Lapland Buntings about. Thought the target of 5 year ticks I hadf set myself was easily doable, but no. Just the three.

Good and sharp considering the conditions.

I was struggling with camera at time - good news is that a gentle shove on the mirror which seemed crooked, resulted in a tiny clunk, and all now working!

That was a bit of luck David. Give it a good test before you know when to make sure it is still working ok.

I often find that bouncing it on the ground helps. I also sometimes run it over, albeit with a small car.

I always handle such stuff so carefully, probably due to learning to handle sextants and chronometers many years ago.

I'm suprised a museum hasn't asked for the body. Otherwise I wish someone would take the poor thing off and disposed of it in a more dignified manner.
I didn't realise it had been dead for some weeks. It must be a health hazard and I don't suppose in this country there would be scavengers that could deal with something that size. I would think within the artic circle, bears would have made good use of all of those calories.
