May well see you there! | As Dave says the more the merrier - looking forward to meeting you! Funnily enough my best kite shot came from sitting in my blue folding chair on the car park I can't remember whether it was before the feeding time or after - I think it was before - when this bird flew almost lazily over - having a good look around I suspect and gave me the chance of a well lit, banked over slightly, underneath shot against a very blue sky! Lets hope the weather for that weekend is clear and blue too!

| | | Re: Gigrin meet - 26th/27th November 2011. I'll be at LLanberis for those two days. Friday night 25th and leaving late Sunday to come back home.
If I get bored on the Saturday I might pop down, though not promissing.
I for one will NOT pay rip off prices of £20 for a hide, you get good shots from the lower ones anyway. Like Johnf3f I always go to LLanduesant at £3.
For those who want to know why I'm at LLanberis. The PAGB are running their Credit/Distinction/Master level of PAGB.
I'm trying for my CPAGB, that's on the Sunday, so wish me luck.
Be Good.

Quick heads up, gateway is now fully booked and I got one of the last two spaces in big tower, so if anybody hasn't booked yet they will need to do it very soon. |

| | | Re: Gigrin meet - 26th/27th November 2011. I may have a problem. I came back from South Africa with a lens that won't zoom past 225 instead of the 500 it should do. I am going to have to send it to Sigma so I doubt I will have it back in time.
My cars off the road tomorrow so I won't be able to post it to them until Wednesday.

John | If your coming near to Nottingham your welcome to use either my 400mm F5.6 L or my Sigma 50-500mm John.
I doubt I'll need either of them in the near future. |

| | | Re: Gigrin meet - 26th/27th November 2011. Hi Graham
Thanks for your generous offer and if Gigrin were another week away I would possibly take up your offer but I am committed for this weekend coming so have no chance of getting to Nottingham.
Regarding my Sigma 150-500. Whilst it is taking excellent photos its reliability has come into question.
Whilst in Egypt in May this year the the AF motor packed up and I had to send it back to Sigma for repair. Since then I have only used it at Priory (very few photos taken) at Thursley (again few photos taken) and Minsmere (even less photos) so it has not been used that much and now the zoom locks out when reaching 225. Has anyone else experienced these problems with this lens or have I just got an unreliable one.
