| | | Re: Thursley Common Meet That's a shame. Would it be possible for you to get there by public transport? I would be happy to pick you up from the nearest bus or railway station to Thursley to get you to the meet. PM me if you are interested nearer the date.

Za | Hmmmm
I thought we were meeting on the Thursley-Elstead road
at the pond (known as "the moat" in my youth); its a long hike
across from the A3 / warren pools to that, and even longer
walk if you go via Thursley village centre !! |

Za | I have walked to Thursley Moat from Milford Station (and back again) and it is a hell of a hike. There appears to be a bus that goes via Elstead (which is just to the north of Thursley) and runs from Guildford/Godalming/Aldershot station (see here to plan your journey http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk. It is about 20 mins walk for Elstead PO to The Moat.
Hopefully will be able to make the w/e - more likely the Sunday

Za | Why is it that people never seem to fight on top of trains anymore?
