It would be easier to go to post 19, to the map that Mike put up and see if that would be ok for folk.
Blimey...the weather here is precipitating down....hope it doesn't next weekend!

| | | Re: Thursley Common Meet Guys, can I just clear up the confusion as to what is happening with the sleeping arrangements with a few of us next weekend.
I have a friend that lives on an estate in Surrey who has kindly agreed to have me and a few friends stay over, essentially in his back garden. The guys that I usually go out with all committed and hence I gave a firm number. This was over 2 months ago, and was posted on WAB 11th April.
I have tried to get folk to commit to saying they are coming but it seems that nobody can give a firm reply.
This meeting was proposed last year so there has been 6 months for folk to find somewhere suitable.
I have to say that there seems to have been some consternation at the decision of a few of us to make alternative, but firm, sleeping arrangements.
I am sure that there are plenty of campsites for people to stay in should folk feel at ease with simply picking up the phone and calling one.
I would point out that I asked, on the 11th of April, for suggestions or requirements as to what people would like me to look for in a campsite prior to my visiting the area to find a suitable spot. No-one replied so please now dont hold it against us that a few of us actually went to some effort to secure somewhere to sleep. |

| | | Re: Thursley Common Meet Does anyone know any of the Park Rangers / Wardens ? at Thursley Common?
If so is it worth tapping them up for some of the latest info!
Would it be possible to arrange permission with them for a moth trapping session on the Common?

There is no talk of grey skys and persistant rain & lets face it you can quite easily miss showers.

| | | Re: Thursley Common Meet Jules, do we have a grid ref for the meeting site for Saturday morning, and a definate meeting time?
I suppose its going to be difficult to work out just how many members are turning up, but it would be nice to have a rough idea so we dont leave anyone behind

Its only a couple of days off so for the logistics it would be great to have a firm idea of who is coming | |
