| | | Re: AES Exhibition 2010 Sorry you are not doing well, Cordaline.
I came home with mantids today. Mantids! And a nice new house for my spiky phasmids. I'm also officially not an arachnophobe now. I had a good time looking over the spiders at the UK arachnological society stall, holding a tube containing a big house spider is probably not something a terrified arachnophobe does. Also, I really wanted a tarantula. |

| | | Re: AES Exhibition 2010 I forgot all about this WAB meet yesterday (only infrequently venture on this sub-forum). I got there c 11.30 after twitching the White-winged Black Tern on the Serpentine + the hall was as packed as ever.
Good to see some old friends there; so many wonderful phasmids + mantids (but resisted buying any), but the pinned specimens leave me cold.
I still haven't got myself a moth trap (don't want to upset the neighbours being main reason) + the binocular microscope would be good for entomology + botany. As usual I walk away with a few more books for the collection.
Maybe nexy year I'll meet WABbers? |

| | | Re: AES Exhibition 2010 Well make sure you have your WAB badge or some other identifying feature with you if you do go next year! It's very tricky finding people in those crowds when you don't know what they look like otherwise. |

| | | Re: AES Exhibition 2010 I was gutted I missed out yet again!
The annoying thing was, the hospital admitted me at 10am Saturday but didn't get around to the operation until 11am Sunday morning.
Timewise I could've gone but healthwise, it wouldn't have been a sensibly idea being amongst such a huge throng of people with my tummy as sore as it was.
Adam bought me a couple of lovely souvenir's though. Thanks Hun.
I so want to meet some more fellow WABbers, just don't know when the next opportunity will be.
Glad that those who went enjoyed themselves.
2011-----it's a date!
