| | | Todays Meet Another great meet today at Rutland Water, to commence with, where along with the usual shots of various birds I got a Water Vole, with a tick on its forehead (poor thing) and a lovely big rat. Then at Priory I got a good picture of geese in-flight and a lovely little owl.
Steve was on good form as usual and we met up with Mark (MTR) later on in the afternoon. |

If only everyone could have seen us trying to get an image of that Woodmouse, it must have looked comical , still at least you got a good image mate, I bet that darn great Tick is giving the poor little chap a bit of pain! |

Here are my best images from today, not brilliant by any standard but what can a guy do when he's only got a Sigma 150mm Macro lens to play with
I've not downloaded the S7000 yet so there may be a few others. |

| I may be wrong, but I don't think it will be painful for the mouse. I should think the mouse hardly notices it. As well as an anti-coagulant, don't they use something like an anisthetic ?
I've had plenty of ticks and leeches on me, but never felt them biting. It was not until either you or mate see them on you, that you realise they're there (or wads of blood flowing, after they've had thier fill and dropped off)..
