| | | Carsington Water Meet Today myself, Graham (and his better half), John and Pete met at Carsington Water, in the Peak district. Even the elusive StuDH turned up, just to prove he is not a computer generated graphic.
It was a lovely day, the weather was great, with some good lighting and the company was fantastic.
Not many rare species although we did see a black swan and a woodpecker. Pete probably got the best of the woodpecker as he failed to notify us of its perching only feet from us, as his camera went into rapid fire. He says he did but we think it was a whisper. (its that Bigma vs Canon thing)
Johns head is in meltdown after an overload of 30D tuition, and Graham taught us all things we did not know about this camera.
It was a top day out and one of many to come. We will soon put some dates and venues together.
Be there or be square

| | | Re: Carsington Water Meet It was a good day, we both enjoyed the company and hope to see you again soon. I'm not too sure those other hide users were too keen on us though!
The birds let us down a bit today, normally Carsington is a busy site with plenty of bird activity, they must have heard we were coming and gave the place a wide berth!
All in all though I think we bamboozled John enough to keep his head spinning for a few more days!
I've just put up two shots from today to give the others a chance, although somehow I think Pete's Woodpeckers might accidentally get deleted whilst editing them! |

It was a top day out , and i am eagerly looking forward to the next one - on the way home we also spotted a ufo landed in a field, me thinks i'll sell the picture to the "sport" that should pay for a lens or two
