| | | Sir David Attenborough signing Hey all,
Just wanted to let you know that Sir David will be at the Natural History Museum in London signing copies of Life Stories on 11th November 2009. That's all we know at the moment but once the details are finalised you'll be able to check on our website. That's it! :-) |

| | | Re: Sir David Attenborough signing Thanks annmr! I think I know what I'll be getting for Christmas.
I'll not make the mistake I made last time though, at the Life in Cold Blood signing. I arrived a couple of hours early for that one and there was no queue so I went into the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition for a browse. When I came out the queue was huge!
Dave P.
P.s. I'll add this to the event calendar.

| | | Re: Sir David Attenborough signing I glimpsed him from about 30ft at a signing at Bluewater. The queue was enormous. At least I've seen the great man though.

| | | Re: Sir David Attenborough signing Hi All,
It has taken a while to finalise all the details but I'm hoping the event will be posted on our website today or tomorrow. It will be from 1-3pm BUT because it was popular to the point of being almost unmanageable last time, we've introduced a ticketing system this time. You can get a free ticket by buying the book (or actually any Attenborough book or DVD) from us. There are around 1000 tickets and being the first time we've done it this way I can't say how long they'll take to run out but I doubt you'll have trouble getting one if you turn up early on the day. Don't hold me to that though! You'll also be able to buy the new book in our online shop in the next day or two, and get a ticket that way (and we don't use Royal Mail!). If you have any questions just post them and I'll happily reply.

Just a small pedantic point though ... you keep saying 'our website' but it looks like you haven't said who you are and you haven't posted any links to the website so I am just guessing you are from the NHM and the link would be Natural History Museum |

However, I have searched the NHM's website and can find no reference to it. I also subscribe to the newsletter and so far have not recieved notification of a signing by the great man

| | | Re: Sir David Attenborough signing I have e-mailed the museum who have confirmed this to me, but I'm a bit confused about the ticketing system. The e-mail I got said you could get a ticket by buying a book online. Does this mean tickets are available in advance, or do you turn up on the day and buy from the shop?
Wasn't doubting anyone just wanted a few more details since it's not been officially announced yet. |

| | | Re: Sir David Attenborough signing annmr said in the last post that you will be able to buy online in the next few days and mentioned that they don't use Royal Mail so I am guessing they'd include it with the book/DVD you bought from them But she(?) said you should be able to get one by buying a book/DVD on the day ... but I'm not sure if I would risk that, considering how popular he is! |
